Monthlong investigation into Nebraska vodka theft comes up dry

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska police are looking to send the message that crime and cocktails don’t mix.

The Grand Island Police Department says it’s now been over a month since a shoplifter stole a bottle of Barton’s Vodka.

This happened at the Super Saver on West Second Street back on March 10.

Police say a Black male arrived in a Jeep Compass just before 10:30 a.m.

He’s then accused of going inside the store and leaving with the vodka, which can be purchased legally for as little as $4.49, depending on the size.

If you have any information on this case, you’re urged to contact GIPD at 308-385-5400.

You can also call Crime Stoppers at 308-381-8822.
