More rounds of rain, storms bring much-needed rain throughout Thursday
More rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to bring rain throughout the day on Thursday.
Temperatures will be pretty steady throughout the day, around the middle and upper 50s in the morning before only warming to about the middle 60s.
As this early round moves northeast, we’ll expect another push of rain to come to life by the mid to late morning hours on Thursday.
Areas that see rain from almost every round through early Friday will add up to around 1″, if not locally more. We’ll take everything we can get!
Rain will come to an end early Friday morning, almost before the morning commute. Then there will be a lot of dry time again for most of Friday and Saturday.
More storms will be possible by Sunday and Monday.
We’re still looking into the potential for severe weather on Monday.
Confidence has increased as of Thursday morning for severe weather toward Omaha and the Missouri River with all severe weather hazards at play.
Overall the higher chances for severe weather are east of Lincoln and into Iowa. But stay tuned to the forecast as we work on timing, details and threats to come into view over the weekend and toward Monday.
