More spotty rain chances into next week

Southeast Nebraska didn’t get a break from the rain on Sunday as more off-and-on showers moved through the area. We didn’t see a lot of widespread heavy rain, but we’ll welcome any moisture even if it’s just a little bit. These showers will fizzle out on Sunday night, and we’ll be dry overnight and into Monday morning.

We’ll likely be waking up to a lot of sunshine on Monday morning. We’ll see some cumulus clouds developing by lunchtime as things continue to heat up. These will attempt to grow into showers and storms on Monday afternoon.

Stormcast Monday Afternoon

These storms will probably be isolated, so it won’t be raining at every point. In fact, some areas may miss out on rain altogether. Nevertheless, we’ll be tracking off-and-on storms in the area on Monday afternoon.

Highs will likely be very warm for yet another day. We’re forecasting a high temperature in the upper-80s to near 90° in Lincoln. Again, you may see some relief from the heat if any rain is close by.

Monday Forecast

Computer model guidance is split on how much rain we will see over the next seven days. However, all models show at least something. We’ve had to add more storm chances on our 10-Day Forecast as a result.

Rainfall Potential

While there are small chances to see storms every day through next Sunday, some chances are better than others. We’re also going to remain warm into next week, with lots of 80s and 90s in the forecast.
