More than 100 COVID deaths total in Lancaster County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials on Tuesday announced an additional five COVID-19 deaths in Lancaster County. This brings the county’s total deaths to 103.

Four of the individuals are identified as residents of long-term care facilities – two women in their 90s, a woman in her 80s, and a man in his 70s. The fifth individuals was a woman in her 70s who was hospitalized.

Officials also announced 203 new cases, bringing the total for Lancaster County to 19,023.

Reported recoveries increased from 5,492 to 5,536.

So far, Tuesday has seen 133 COVID-19 hospitalizations (82 from Lancaster County). A total of 14 are on ventilators.

The positivity rate so far this week is 28.4%.
