Mostly sunny and breezy on Tuesday
After a round of rain on Monday, the pattern turns much quieter for the day on Tuesday. A few passing clouds are possible, but skies will be mainly sunny overall.
Despite a chilly start with temperatures near or below freezing, the afternoon will feel nice. We’re forecasting highs in the lower 60s in Lincoln.
The wind does return on Tuesday. It may be breezy at times, but not too windy, with gusts around 25 mph possible throughout the afternoon.
By Wednesday, we will be watching clouds building off to the west. Wednesday will start off on a mostly sunny note in Lincoln. However, clouds will increase over the course of the day, becoming mostly cloudy by Wednesday evening.
Some versions of Stormcast have hinted at a band of light shower activity developing on Wednesday afternoon and evening in central Nebraska. The chance of one of these showers in Lincoln is fairly low. We expect little to no accumulation with these.
On Thursday, clouds remain and scattered rain should overspread some areas. Thursday appears to be Lincoln’s next best potential to see something fall from the sky. That said, it probably won’t be raining at every point on Thursday.
