Mother and infant transported in rollover crash northwest of Lincoln

A mother and her child are expected to be okay after a single vehicle rollover accident. 

The accident happened just before 9 a.m. Tuesday. 

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says the pair were heading down NW 27th Street when the woman lost control of her car. 

The woman and the seven-day-old infant were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. 

Lincoln and Raymond rescue crews responded to the accident. 

A medical helicopter was initially called to the scene, but later canceled.
