LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motorcyclist was arrested Thursday after speeding off from a traffic stop in Lincoln, police say.

Around 5:30 p.m., an officer tried pulling over a motorcycle with no license plates near Antelope Valley Parkway and O Street.

But the motorcyclist — 22-year-old Kolby Burkhardt — sped off, according to police.  The officer did not pursue.

About five minutes later, the officer spotted Burkardt at EZ GO near 27th and O streets.

Burkhardt was arrested on suspicion of fleeing to avoid arrest.  He was also cited on suspicion of several other charges, including willful reckless driving.
