Motorcyclist hid under porch after high-speed chase near Grand Island, patrol says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motorcyclist was arrested Sunday after a high-speed chase in Hall County, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

Around 10:15 p.m., a trooper saw a motorcycle going over 100 mph on Interstate 80 near Shelton.

As the motorcycle exited I-80 at the Shelton interchange, the trooper tried to pull it over.

But the rider – later identified as 38-year-old Kade Coble of Alda – refused to stop and sped off, the patrol said.

Coble reached speeds of 120 mph during the pursuit, according to the patrol.

Eventually, Coble laid the motorcycle down in a ditch in Grand Island and ran away.

Troopers later found Coble hiding under a porch and took him into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving and obstructing a peace officer.
