LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday in a crash in rural Cass County, the sheriff’s office says.

The crash happened around 4 p.m. near Highway 34 and Kenosha Road, just west of the Nebraska-Iowa border.

A GMC Terrain was heading south on Highway 34 when she tried turning into a driveway in the path of a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist, 30-year-old Zachariah Unruh of Auburn, hit the vehicle and was ejected, according to the sheriff’s office.

Unruh was pronounced dead at the scene.  No one in the GMC was injured.

An investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff’s office said charges are pending.
