LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man tried running away from troopers after a pursuit in Omaha on Sunday, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

Around 1:30 a.m., a trooper tried pulling over a speeding Motorcycle on Interstate 80 in Omaha.

But the motorcyclist, 36-year-old Christyan Escobedo, refused to stop and fled through a neighborhood before getting back on I-80.

An Omaha Police Department helicopter was able to track Escobedo during the pursuit, according to the patrol.

Eventually, he came to a stop at an apartment complex near 151st Street and Giles Road and started running.

A trooper chased after Escobedo and was able to take him into custody, the patrol said.

He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including flight to avoid arrest.
