Mountain lion dies after accidental trapping in Nebraska
The big cat's remains were brought to a school so kids could get an up-close look at wildlife

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Ponca Public Schools shared photos of a recent visitor that few would have expected.
The local game warden brought a mountain lion that died after an accidental trapping in Dixon County.
Kids were anything but shy, crowding around a truck to see what had been wandering the area.
This follows a recent uptick in mountain lion sightings and encounters in eastern Nebraska, including right here in Lincoln last December.
