LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is still looking for a mountain lion that has been seen twice in Omaha.

The mountain lion was first seen at a home near Interstate 80 and Q Street around 4:15 a.m. Monday.

On Friday, the mountain lion was spotted again just blocks away, at a home near I-80 and Mockingbird Drive, Game and Parks said.

Anyone who sees the mountain lion should stay calm, back away slowly and get inside a home or car.

Officials said a mountain lion within city limits will be killed if it can be done safely.

Anyone with information should contact the Omaha Police Department or Game and Parks immediately.

More information can be found on the Game and Parks website.
