Movie Theater Proposal
Another sequel to Lincoln's much discussed movie theater complex issue was produced on Monday. However, the saga is far from over. Last week the city council voted not to change a policy which limits theaters with more than six screens to the downtown area. The zoning change that would allow a six screen complex near 84th and Highway 2 on the southeast edge of Lincoln. However, the attorney for the Prairie Lakes developer says only a 12 to 18 screen multiplex is in the cards for them. Several council members are on record, saying consideration should be given to changing Lincoln's theater policy a few years down the road.
