Multiple departments fight large field fire off I-80 near Greenwood

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Several fire departments responded to a blaze Tuesday afternoon near Interstate 80 between Omaha and Lincoln.

Shortly before 5 p.m., the Ashland Volunteer Fire Department said on Facebook that it was on the scene of a large field fire.

The fire was near Greenwood, according to the department.

Several other agencies also responded.

The public is urged to avoid the area, but Nebraska Department of Transportation traffic cameras show that traffic is still flowing smoothly on I-80.
