LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several streets will close next week in Lincoln.

Street closures for tree removal projects affect areas of South 13th Street, South Street and South 33rd Street.

On Monday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., a closure occurs on South 13th street, between A and G streets.

This will detour StarTran Route 13.

The recommended detour for this closure is A Street to 10th Street.

South Street between Broadmoore and Pacific Drives will close on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This action will detour StarTran Route 40.

The detour suggested for this closure is South Street to 56th Street to A Street to 70th Street.

From 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, closure takes place on South 33rd Street between Sewell and Lake streets.

The encouraged detour is South Street to 40th Street and does not affect StarTran routes.

The final closure on South Street occurs Thursday from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

This will detour StarTran Route 40.

The recommended detour is 28th Street to Normal Boulevard to 56th Street.

Due to weather and other unforeseen outcomes, the Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department’s project dates are subject to change.

Drivers should seek alternative routes and use caution around the work.
