Multiple streets to close for Lincoln Marathon on Sunday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Multiple streets will be closed Sunday for the annual Lincoln Marathon.

The marathon is scheduled to begin at 6:55 a.m. and the race is expected to end around 1:30 p.m.

Lincoln Police anticipate more than 10,000 runners to take part in the marathon.

The most notable street closure will be 48th Street between Highway 2 and Calvert Street, according to Lincoln Police.

There will also be no eastbound traffic on Normal Boulevard between 56th Street and Holmes North Shore Road from 8:00 a.m. until noon.
