Mutual of Omaha Bank closing a Lincoln branch

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Mutual of Omaha Bank has announced plans to close a branch in Lincoln and one in Fort Myers, Florida.
Company spokesman Jim Nolan said Tuesday that the bank also has closed its mortgage processing operation in Lincoln. In October the bank said it was expanding its lending arrangement with Guild Mortgage Co. and said that relationship would replace its in-house mortgage origination. Nolan says some Mutual of Omaha Bank mortgage employees have joined Guild Mortgage and others have been given opportunities to transfer to other Mutual of Omaha operations.
Nolan also says that as the bank closes its Fort Meyers office, it will designate its Naples, Florida, branch as a banking center.
