National Guard responding to wildfires
Several support aircraft are expected to be deployed to Hayes County.

HAYES COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) – Maj. Scott Ingalsbe with the Nebraska National Guard has confirmed that a group of personnel is expected to assist with firefighting efforts in Hayes County.
According to a press release, 32 active personnel with both ground and air will asset with firefighters in southwestern Nebraska a the direction of Governor Ricketts and at a request from local authorities.
Maj. Ingalsbe confirms that a pair of Blackhawk helicopters will be sent from Lincoln.
An additional Lakota helicopter will be deployed from Grand Island, where a refueling truck will also leave to support efforts.
