LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska Department of Transportation announced the closure of a highway access ramp near Nebraska City.

On Wednesday, the Highway 75 northbound access ramp from westbound Nebraska Highway 2 will close for bridge work.

According to NDOT, the ramp will reopen once the work has been completed for the remainder of the week.

The ramp will close again the morning of Nov. 10, with access tentatively expected to be restored on Nov. 14, NDOT said.

Motorists needing to access the Highway 75 northbound ramp will be detoured at the junction of Highway 75 and Highway 2 to South 11th Street and West 4th Corso Street.

Drivers will then be able to access Highway 75 northbound and the Highway 75/West 4th Corso interchange.

The detour route will be identified by signing and/or portable dynamic message boards.

Message boards will be in place before the closure and detour to alert motorists of the status of the northbound US-75 ramp.
