Nearing normal on a sunny Friday
What a stretch of fantastic fall days looking back. We are going to break the streak of 60s and 70s on Friday, but temperatures will be nearing normal for this time in November for the day.
Also first on Friday, we’ve been watching the crescent-shaped moon and Venus in the eastern sky! Here’s a quick snapshot from early in the morning in case you missed it.
With leaves continuing to fall, today would be another great day if any yard work needs to be done. After a chilly morning, we’ll be in the 50s by lunchtime. Forecasting a high around the middle 50s to end this week.
Friday night lights continue this week with playoff football pushing on. We’ll be covering Waverly and Skutt Catholic in Omaha tonight with kickoff at 7 p.m. Friday. This November night looks cooler, but fine for football!
By Saturday, a change of scenery. More cloud cover will move in by the morning hours, with a chance at a light sprinkle or two through the early afternoon. We’ll quickly clear out for Sunday.
Winds with this increase in cloud cover will also pick up. It’ll be windy for Saturday, with gusts around 30-35 mph out of the south.
With that cloud cover and wind, we’ll warm a bit from Friday but not all that much. We should be dry for tailgating and the start of the Maryland game in Memorial Stadium, but that small chance for sprinkles from about noon through the end of the game.
With our streak of 60s and 70s coming to an end, we look to start up another one as soon as Sunday!
