Nebraska AG accuses 104 shops of selling THC products above legal limit
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities said Thursday that 104 stores in Omaha are selling illegal THC products.
Attorney General Mike Hilgers said his office and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office purchased products from the stores this year.
Hilgers said each store had at least one product with THC concentrations above the limit for hemp, making it marijuana.
He also said the labels did not properly identify the products.

The attorney general’s office issued cease and desist letters to the stores, saying they are selling “harmful and unlawful” products.
Douglas County Sheriff Aaron Hanson said he was “proud” to join Hilgers’ efforts.
“Synthetic THC products are putting a strain on our law enforcement resources and efforts statewide and hurting innocent people who think they are buying a safe and legal product,” he said in a press release.
