LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska AG Doug Peterson made comments on a preliminary injunction that stopped the Biden Administration from enforcing a vaccine mandate on federal contractors in ten states.

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri issued a preliminary injunction stopping the mandate for federal contractors.

Nebraska joins Missouri, Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming in filing the lawsuit.

“Today’s ruling immediately prevents the federal government from enforcing this vaccine mandate on federal contractors and their employees in our state,” said Peterson.

The preliminary injunction allows federal contractors to keep their jobs, regardless of the worker’s vaccination status.

“While we anticipate the federal government will seek review by the Eighth Circuit, we are confident that the Biden Administration lacks authority to impose this mandate,” said Peterson.

Nebraska is challenging the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandates in three different lawsuits.
