Nebraska announces free pregame fan fests for 2025 season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska football will be hosting free pregame events for Husker fans at the Hawks Championship Center this season.

In a press release Tuesday, Nebraska Athletics announced the Cornhusker Kickoff, which will be held at the Hawks Championship Center.

The event features live entertainment, kids’ activities, food and beverage, Husker merchandise and appearances from current and former student-athletes and coaches, officials said.

For the first-ever Cornhusker Kickoff ahead of the Akron game, country artists Maddie & Tae will be performing.

The Hawks Championship Center will open four hours before kickoff each game, unless it’s an 11 a.m. kickoff, in which case doors will open at 7 a.m.

“We are excited to relaunch a new and improved pregame area for Husker fans of all ages,” said Brandon Meier, senior associate AD, in a press release.  “The Hawks Championship Center is the perfect indoor venue that is just steps away from Memorial Stadium.”
