Nebraska authorities arrest former soldier wanted in deadly ’70s stabbing in Germany

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A former soldier accused in the 1978 slaying of a woman in Germany was arrested last month in Nebraska.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Thursday that 69-year-old Tommy Molina was taken into custody in Gering on June 21.
Molina, a former U.S. soldier, is accused of fatally stabbing a woman while stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany, in 1978.
Authorities said Molina is currently awaiting extradition back to Germany.
“U.S. Marshals work closely with countless countries around the world to ensure that justice is served,” said Scott Kracl, U.S. Marshal for the District of Nebraska, in a press release. “In this particular case, our partnership with Germany has taken a violent fugitive off the streets.”
