Nebraska authorities find marijuana, explosives in Hastings home, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was caught Monday with explosives, marijuana and THC products at a home in Hastings, police say.

Several authorities – including the Hastings Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol – served a search warrant at a home near Washington Avenue and Ninth Street.

Authorities found “large quantities” of THC products and marijuana, along with items used in drug sales, according to police.

More than $4,000 in cash was also seized.

During the search, authorities came across what appeared to be explosives.

The patrol’s bomb squad was called in and determined them to be “illegal destructive devices,” police said.  The bomb squad took the devices to be disposed of.

Christopher Faust, 47, was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute near a school.
