Nebraska authorities investigate threat made toward multiple Kearney schools

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Kearney Police Department investigated a possible threat at several local schools on Tuesday.

Around 5 p.m., the agency received info regarding a potential threat made toward multiple public schools, the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Zion Lutheran School.

Officers immediately investigated the report and found that it wasn’t credible, police said Wednesday.

Police said they worked closely with the schools’ administrations, and additional resources were in place at the schools on Wednesday.

Police encourage the community to report potential threats to authorities.
