Nebraska babysitter arrested after death of 3-month-old child

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A central Nebraska woman was arrested Thursday after authorities say a 3-month-old child died under her care.

On Aug. 6, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Marquette for an unresponsive child.

The girl died at Aurora Memorial Hospital after lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, according to officials.

Tiffany Cure, 20, was arrested on suspicion of child abuse resulting in death.

Officials said Cure was babysitting the girl at the time of the 911 call.
