Nebraska baseball falls against Kansas State; Sharpe family honored pregame

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska baseball dropped its Tuesday night road game against Kansas State 12-8.

The Huskers fell in an early 5-0 hole, which led to a 11-2 deficit going into the fourth inning.

Nebraska rallied in the final six innings, outscoring the Wildcats 6-1, but the late push wasn’t quite enough to get over the hump.

Case Sanderson finished the game 4-for-5 with a home run for the Huskers.

Before the game, Kansas State honored the family of Greg Sharpe by having them throw out the first pitch.

Sharpe, known as the “Voice of the Huskers,” died on Feb. 14.

Before he came to Nebraska, he called games for Kansas State.
