Nebraska baseball overcomes deficit in win against Charleston

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska baseball defeated the College of Charleston on Thursday in an extra-innings bout.

The Huskers won 6-5 in the first of a four-game series against the Cougars.


Nebraska took the lead in the first inning with an RBI from catcher Josh Caron.

But the Huskers’ offense fell silent as Charleston scored five runs in three innings.

At the top of the ninth, Nebraska was revived with four runs to tie up the game.

An RBI from Clay Bradford sealed the victory for the Huskers in the 10th.

Nebraska will face Charleston again Friday at 3 p.m.
