Nebraska basketball continues historic rise in AP Poll, gets top five matchup with Michigan

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska men’s basketball team made another significant jump in the AP Poll on Monday.
The Huskers were slotted at No. 5, marking the highest ranking in program history. The Big Red were ranked No. 7 last week and jumped thanks to losses by Houston and Purdue.

Nebraska holds a 20-0 record heading into this week’s action, which includes matchups with No. 3 Michigan on Tuesday and No. 9 Illinois on Sunday.
Tipoff in Ann Arbor is set for 6 p.m. on Peacock.
