Nebraska basketball drops road game at Ohio State

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska basketball fell 78-69 Thursday on the road at Ohio State.

The Buckeyes outshot the Huskers 43% to 39% from the field and 38% to 30% from 3-point range.

Ohio State (17-12) held a narrow edge for most of the game, never leading by more than 7 points in the first half.

Nebraska cut the lead to 2 with less than four minutes in the game, but the Buckeyes put it away by scoring 9 straight points.

The Huskers were led by Rienk Mast and Jamarques Lawrence, who each scored 14 points.

Mast also notched 12 rebounds.

Nebraska (20-9) hosts Rutgers on Sunday. The game starts at 5:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
