LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska men’s basketball team fell in the latest AP Poll rankings, released on Monday.

The Huskers are now ranked No. 9, falling two spots from their No. 7 ranking the previous week.

The fall follows Nebraska’s 80-77 loss to No. 13 Purdue on Tuesday. A 19-point win over Northwestern on Saturday was not enough to keep the Huskers from falling in the rankings.

Nebraska is one of four Big Ten teams in the top 10, including No. 1 Michigan, No. 7 Purdue and No. 10 Illinois.

The Wolverines took the top spot after Arizona lost its first two games of the season against No. 9 Kansas on Feb. 9 and No. 16 Texas Tech on Saturday.

NU will look to build off its win over the Wildcats against Iowa on Tuesday in Iowa City.

Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
