Nebraska-Creighton game suspended while tied in the seventh inning
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lightning in the seventh inning forced the suspension of Nebraska’s baseball game against Creighton on Tuesday night.
The game will resume at a later date, according to Nebraska Athletics.
The contest will resume tied at 4 in the bottom of the seventh with no outs.
Gabe Swansen will be up to bat with Max Anderson on third base, Garrett Anglim on second and Charlie Fischer on first.
The Huskers were down by three in the sixth inning when Brice Matthews hit his team-leading 14th home run. That brought Nebraska within one run.
Nebraska tied the game with two outs in the sixth. Efry Cervantes doubled to right before Cole Evans drove in an RBI single as Cervantes slid home.
The Huskers are 0-3 against in-state foes this season and have lost seven of their last eight games against the Jays.
