Nebraska DHHS hosts Medicaid listening session in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services held a listening session today in Lincoln regarding Medicaid. This was one of many sessions the department is holding across the state to better understand what can be better and what is going well with the state’s Medicaid system.
The contracts with the three Medicaid providers in the state are up. The state is now looking for input on what people liked and didn’t like about the current Medicaid system.
During the meeting, there was a lot of concern regarding how behavioral health is handled under the current system.
Director of the DHHS Medicaid division, Kevin Bagley, wouldn’t say if the comments were anything the state could address or fix, but assured people they were listening and would look for solutions.
