Nebraska falls flat to Penn State, drops to 7-4

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — It was a tough loss for the Huskers Saturday night, falling to the Nittany Lions on the road.
The team lost 37-10 in Happy Valley.
Nebraska received the opening kickoff, and were in position to score.
But the Huskers were stopped on a fourth-and-1 attempt only two yards from the end zone.
Then Penn State recorded a six-play, 80-yard drive that resulted in the first score of the game.
The Nittany Lions led 7-0, and never looked back.
It was a big day on the ground for Penn State. The team had a combined 231 yards rushing on 39 total carries.
Huskers’ Emmett Johnson had another 100-yard rushing day, marking his seventh of the season.
Freshman QB TJ Lateef suffered his first loss as a starter in his college career. Lateef completed 21 of 37 passes for 187 yards. He scored the only touchdown of the night for Nebraska on an 11-yard carry with 55 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Nebraska falls to 7-4. The Huskers will close out their regular season next Friday vs. Iowa. Kickoff at Memorial Stadium is set for 11:00 a.m.
