Nebraska fires defensive line coach Terry Bradden after one season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska has fired its third assistant coach since the regular season ended, head coach Matt Rhule announced Tuesday.
Defensive line coach Terry Bradden, who came to Nebraska in 2024 after a stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, is no longer with the team.
“We’re actively pursuing what we will do defensive line-wise,” Rhule said. “Thank Terry, for his work and his time here.”
Bradden is the third assistant coach to be fired since the loss to Iowa on Nov. 28, following defensive coordinator John Butler and offensive line coach Donovan Raiola.
In addition, Rhule officially announced the hiring of Rob Aurich as the team’s next defensive coordinator and Geep Wade as the new offensive line coach.
Aurich was serving as the defensive coordinator for San Diego State, helping the team finish No. 5 in scoring defense with 12.6 points per game in 2025.
Wade was the offensive line coach at Georgia Tech. In 2023 and 2024, Georgia Tech led the ACC in fewest sacks allowed.
