LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska football is back in the coaches poll as the team prepares to take on No. 16 Indiana on the road.

The US LBM Coaches Poll ranked the Huskers at No. 25 after the bye week.  Nebraska didn’t crack into the AP Poll’s top 25 but received several votes.

Nebraska was placed in both polls earlier this season but lost the spot when the Huskers fell to Illinois in overtime at home.

The Huskers will now seek the coveted sixth win to earn playoff bowl eligibility, which hasn’t been accomplished since 2016.

Nebraska is traveling to Bloomington, Indiana, for an early morning matchup against the Hoosiers.

The Huskers haven’t defeated a ranked opponent since 2016 when they beat Oregon.
