Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen launches new competition for student entrepreneurs
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Gov. Jim Pillen announced a new competition aimed at helping students bring their business ideas to reality.
At a press conference Tuesday, Pillen said the contest will allow college students to pitch their ideas through two stages of vetting.
The winners will receive financial prizes, according to a press release.
Students wanting to take part in the contest need to apply by Dec. 1.
Pillen was joined by K.C. Belitz, director of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, and Bryan Sloan, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce president, at the event.
