Nebraska Humane Society needs help after pipe bursts

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska Humane Society is asking the community for help after a pipe burst, flooding their animal medical and foster care departments.

As of this weekend, they’re still in the aftermath, trying to clean up as much as they can.

NHS staff spent Friday and Saturday containing the water using every towel they could find in the building.

They were also able to move dogs in impacted departments to another area of the building while cleaning up the mess.

Now they’re asking the community for donations for repair costs and dry towels.
