Nebraska inmate found guilty of manslaughter in death of cellmate
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Nebraska inmate was found guilty of manslaughter Friday in the death of his cellmate.
Tyler Stanford pleaded no contest to the killing of Philip Garcia at the Nebraska State Penitentiary in October 2022.
Stanford was originally charged with first-degree murder.
His sentencing is set for Nov. 17.
Stanford is also serving time for second-degree assault on an officer and other charges.
