Nebraska job applicant tries to sell $8,000 tool stolen from previous employer
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man is accused of stealing an $8,000 tool from a Lincoln business he once worked at, and then trying to sell it to his prospective employer.
Police said Aaron Pfeiffer tried to trick a Grand Island business into buying the expensive tool during his application process.
Levanders Body Shop eventually discovered that it was stolen from Speidell Body Works during a reference check, according to the Grand Island Police Department.
Pfeiffer is now facing a charge of theft by receiving stolen property.
