Nebraska legend Jordan Larson to conclude professional playing career at the end of the season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Former Nebraska volleyball star Jordan Larson on Friday announced that 2026 will be her final season as a professional athlete.
The Hooper, Nebraska, native won a national championship with Nebraska in 2006, is a four-time Olympic medalist, and is a founding athlete of LOVB Nebraska.

Larson is one of three volleyball athletes in history with four Olympic medals. She was the captain of the U.S team in 2021 when they won their first-ever gold medal in Tokyo.

She helped the U.S. earn silver medals in 2012 and 2024, and a bronze medal in 2016.
In 2006, Larson and Nebraska defeated Stanford to win a National Championship, its third in Husker history. Nebraska finished as runner-up in 2005.
Larson concluded her time in Nebraska as a three-time All-American.
Larson said she will continue to lead the team’s new ownership group after her performance this season.
LOVB Nebraska will hold its home opener against LOVB Houston at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Baxter Arena in Omaha.
