Nebraska man died after being hit by dump truck in Otoe County
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Springfield man died Friday after being hit by a dump truck in Otoe County, the sheriff’s office says.
Around 9:25 a.m., 81-year-old Charles Scholting was removing an “oversized load” sign from the front of a dump truck.
The sheriff’s office said that Scholting was in front of the truck as the driver pulled away.
Scholting was run over and pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
