Nebraska man found dead in the water at Mormon Island

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was found dead Thursday evening at a state park in central Nebraska.
Just after 5:15 p.m., the Hall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Mormon Island State Recreation Area.
There was a truck with a boat trailer parked on the boat ramp and an unoccupied boat in the water, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
The Grand Island Dive Rescue team was called and a short time later, found a dead man, officials said.
Authorities said the man was removed from the water and identified as 64-year-old Randy Imler of Doniphan.
Investigation showed this to be an accidental death, according to the sheriff’s office, and no foul play was involved.
