Nebraska man injured in crash with Washington County deputy

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Washington County deputy.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Friday near the intersection of County Road 45 and Dutch Hall Road.

Deputy Morgan Ransiear was heading east when he lost control due to slick roads, the sheriff’s office said.  He crossed the center line and struck a Hyundai Tucson.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 25-year-old Washington County man, was taken to a local hospital.  The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Ransiear was not injured.
