Nebraska man killed by runaway semi in Missouri

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Nebraska man was killed Saturday when he was run over by a semitrailer in Missouri.

The crash happened about 12:30 p.m. on Interstate 29 in Mound City, which is about 35 miles northeast of St. Joseph.

A 33-year-old man from Neligh was in the shoulder when he was hit by a downhill runaway semi, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A GoFundMe page identified the man as Travis Dozler. It said he was in Missouri delivering a load during the “freak trucking accident.”

Dozler is survived by his wife, four children and one more on the way, according to the GoFundMe.
