Nebraska man killed in single-vehicle crash in Johnson County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash.

Around 1:20 a.m. Friday, first responders were sent one mile west of Sterling.

The sole occupant of a 2005 Dodge Ram — 74-year-old James Young of rural Adams — was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said he was using a seatbelt.

The use of alcohol or excessive speed is unknown at this time.

The crash is being investigated by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
