Nebraska men’s basketball lands two transfer commitments

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska men’s basketball picked up a pair of commitments on Wednesday, first in Bradley forward Rienk Mast.

“Under the guidance of Coach Hoiberg and his staff I am confident that the Nebraska men’s basketball program is on the rise and I think I can contribute in a big way,” Mast wrote on Instagram.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pound senior from the Netherlands has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

He averaged 13.8 points, 8 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season for Bradley, which won the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title.

Charlotte guard Brice Williams announced his commitment shortly after.

The 6-foot-7, 215-pound redshirt junior started 13 games for the 49ers last season and averaged 13.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

Williams was named the MVP of the College Basketball Invitational, where he averaged 16.3 points and 7.8 rebounds.

He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The Huskers still have two scholarships available for the 2023-24 season.
