Nebraska mom accused of hiding 4-year-old from police despite possible poisoning
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Nebraska woman is accused of hiding her 4-year-old son from police, even though he had possibly been poisoned.
The Grand Island Police Department says this happened on Monday afternoon, at an apartment complex just northwest of Seedling Mile Elementary School.
Officers were joined by the fire department to check on the boy, who had eaten a delta-8 THC gummy.
But they say Ashly Hensley removed all of her children from the apartment after hearing that authorities were on the way.
The boy was eventually found with his grandmother, who wasn’t told that he had ingested the gummy.
The 4-year-old was taken to a hospital, while Hensley was arrested on suspicion of intentional child abuse.
