LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A public hearing will be held on Tuesday on care for transgender youth in the state.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will receive comments on the proposed regulations on hormones and puberty blockers for minors.

The hearing will be held at the Lancaster Event Center.

It is an attempt to receive feedback on the regulations in the bill from all stakeholders, including medical experts and patients.

The hearing will start at 7 a.m. and run until 7 p.m. or until there are no more speakers, whichever comes first.

Oral comments will be limited to three minutes to allow more people to speak.

To maximize the number of speakers in the time allotted, officials said they reserve the right to decrease the time to two minutes.
